Last saturday was a freaking awesome day! Most must be thinking 'What the hell is this idiot talking about?'.

I shall tell you now. I attended Summerfest'09 held by 987fm. It was a beach party at Siloso Beach and it was just awesome.

This is the story:

Atiqah told me about this party about 2 weeks before the event itself so I was thinking of who I should call. Called Eliz, Gayu, Syuk and of course Atiqah, her BF and her besties. That would make up around 8+ people including me. That would have been more fun and interesting. However, everyone backed out including Atiqah so well, I didn't want to go alone so called Mave, Gerri, Cy?. Only Mave could go so what the heck.

I met Mave at toa payoh station around 2pm and Atiqah was still in 2 minds on whether to go or not. So I was like pestering her to go but she in the end said she wanted to study (wrong move =P). So we reach Sentosa roughly 3pm and the beach was packed! There were hunks, babes, kids, aunties and uncles. You name it they were all there. So me and mave found a shady spot and just chilled there. We talked about things which I kinda forgot but we had chips and water so we just ate and talked. It was really hot so I wanted to go for a short dip so I took off my shirt and jumped into the water. Mave followed. At 5pm we heard that the concert was about to start so we quickly grabbed our stuff and headed to the main stage. It wasn't so crowded and Batucada just started. The mood at that point was rather dead. I think it was the heat. As the time progress and more performances the mood started to pick up. At around 6.30pm we met Shilka, Zubin and Hanah by chance so we all stuck together. By 7.30pm the mood was raging and almost everyone was dancing including me =). R&B, Rock, Hip Hop and some Techno. Imagine me dancing to all haha!

The whole thing ended with Electrico but by then, everyone was tired and most of the people left. So 11pm it ended, me n mave went to find a shower and took a quick bath. We boarded the bus at 12.20am and reached home at 1.10am. I was super hungry and tired but it was ALL WORTH IT! \m/
